God used His prophet Hosea to demonstrate the adultery of Israel. Despite their repeated unfaithfulness and betrayal of His love, the Lord's commitment to the covenant Israel had willingly entered into with Him was unchanged. However, this behavior would not go unpunished. God disciplined them by taking away the blessings He previously provided and sending them into exile. Pastor Andrew ties God's expectations of his people, the church, to the Israelites. It's a wake up call and a warning against disregard for our absolute indebtedness to God.

Are You Merely a Christian?
January 15, 2012
There's a difference between being a Christian and being a disciple. Being a disciple is actively following our Master and striving to be like Him. We are meant to be more than a Christian in name only, but we are to be like Christ in word and deed.

Dolts, Dingbats and Dimwits

Pastor Andrew reminds us that God's thoughts and ways are so far above us, that we often don't understand the methods He chooses to use. From using an unmarried virgin to carry the Savior of the world, to allowing evil and ungodly men to crucify the Son, God's methods are sometimes baffling and always awe inspiring.
